Michael Joseph Jackson (D. 29 Ağustos 1958 – Ö. 25 Haziran 2009) “Popun Kralı” olarak tanınan Afro-Amerikalı şarkıcı, müzisyen, besteci, söz yazarı ve pop yıldızı.
Jackson Ailesi’nin dokuz çocuğunun yedincisi olarak dünyaya gelen Michael Jackson, babasının kurduğu Jackson 5 grubunda 1971 yılında henüz 11 yaşındayken müzik yaşamına atılmıştır. Daha sonra Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), HIstory (1995) gibi milyonlarca satan solo albümlere imza atan Jackson, büyük bir şöhret kazanmış ve “Popun Kralı” (İngilizce: King of Pop) olarak anılmaya başlanmıştır.Guinness Rekorlar Kitabı’na da giren Jackson, özellikle son yıllarda bazı sağlık sorunları ve skandallarla gündeme gelmiştir.
Üç çocuk babası olan Michael Jackson, 25 Haziran 2009 günü Los Angeles’taki evinde geçirdiği rahatsızlık sonucu koma hâlinde hastaneye kaldırılmış fakat kurtarılamamış ve kalp durması nedeniyle 50 yaşında hayatını kaybetmiştir.
Michael Jackson’un 1995 tarihli HIStory isimli albümünden ABD çıkan üçüncü, Avrupa’da ise çıkan dördüncü teklidir. Şarkı, hem sözleri hem de orijinal videosu sebebiyle tartışmalara konu olmuştur.
